Roaming the deserts of Egypt & Jordan

White Desert in Bahariya, Egypt

Suddenly the desert is calling out to me again…
The vast sand, endless desert, miles n miles of nothingness extreme heat in the day, extreme cold at nitesleeping under the stars, they’r so close that u feel u could grab them in ur palms.

I close my eyes, and I breathe the sand and feel the dryness in the air again.
Entering the Bahariya Oasis of the Western Desert, Egypt
you could see many women, esp in villages, all wrapped up in their Muslim dresses
frolicking in the sand

our safari jeep – ah all the bumpy rides

The White Desert
sheer whiteness – minerals naturally form an amazing desert
Night falls, setting camp in the middle of the desert
Our guide Mohammed fixing us sm true blue Bedouin meal.

Many Bedouin nomads roaming the desert on their camels…

The mushroom rocks and the rock bridge are really awesome looking. The Bedouin food and shisha sounds lovely too. I definitely hope to check this area out sometime.

Mark, yeh I wish I could go back right now. Our Bedouin guides were so funny, they were making jokes all night while we sipped Arabic tea. It was an amazing experience. Thinking of it now reminds me of the starry skies that night…
