Greetings from Sweden! We are currently in the lake district of Dalsland in West Sweden, getting out and about in the vast lakes and endless pine forests. Over the week, we’ve had amazing experiences in different corners of the region — from kayaking and camping on our own island in the Bohuslän region and fishing for crabs in the shellfish capital of Grebbestad, to biking around the lakes of Dalslands and getting to meet Sweden’s famous moose.
In comparison with our previous trip to Northern Sweden last winter – where we watched the Northern Lights and went snowmobiling and husky sledding – this trip showed us a very different side to Sweden. It’s been an extraordinary journey, one that brought us through the backwaters and little-known villages of Sweden and further deeper into the heart of the country. We know that this won’t be our last visit to Sweden, but I just hope the next trip comes soon enough. For a sneak peek, here are some pictorial highlights of our trip, stay tuned for more stories next week!
