Photoblog: Coastline of Llanes, Northern Spain

Posted on April 29, 2011 by

From plunging cliffs to rock-strewn sandy beaches to calm bays: the coast line of Llanes is as unpredictable as it can get. With over 30 beaches, Llanes is just about the best place in Asturias for the sun, sand and the sea. Having spent a lot of time in Southern Spain (where beaches are overcrowded with tourists and beach bars), Llanes was quite a refreshing experience for me – providing a perfect combination of rugged, natural beauty and peaceful tranquility. During our recent trip to Asturias, we zipped past the coastline of Llanes and snapped these photos of its beautiful beaches. Here are some, to share with you, enjoy!

Hey Debbie thanks for dropping by! Llanes was indeed beautiful – especially its location by the coastline and its proximity to the mountains. Hope you get the chance to see it soon!
