From the outside, the building may be frowned upon by tasteful travelers – thanks to its rainbow-colored theme; but take a step inside and you’ll be transported to the stylish future.

The JIA boutique hotel in Hong Kong was created by influential designer and architect Philippe Starck. The whimsical Frenchman’s refit of the Royalton Hotel in New York back in 1988 is said to have kicked off the hotel industry’s fascination with big-name design schemes.
