I'd highly recommend hiking through the Quebradas (gorges) and taking your time to explore the area - we only spent two days going from Salta through the Andean Altiplano to the Andean indigenous villages before ending up in Bolivia. It's one of my favorite parts of Argentina, enjoy! This part of Argentina is unique, full of character and largely unexplored.
