For Valentine’s Day this year, I surprised Alberto with a ticket to Venice. Who could resist that? Checking in at Hotel Villa Dori, I was ecstatic to see the four-poster bed and dreamy renaissance decor of the boutique hotel. Although located in the suburbs of Venice, it offers gorgeous yet reasonably priced rooms.

One last trip with Ivar before he left for home
we headed to the most popular beach getaway for the Madrileños
VALENCIA!!!
after a 4hr drive, we got our asses there
first thing- hit the beach!!
it was all warm and sunny
ahhh thank god it was pouring in Madrid
